Barcelona is known throughout the world as a cultural city, with an important heritage and a permanent and exciting range of activities on offer.
It is a city of renowned architectural interest, from its Roman walls to recent constructions like the “torre Agbar”, a 142 m high building designed by Jean Nouvel. The Gothic Quarter invites the traveller to stroll down its narrow alleyways, and visit its churches (the Cathedral, Santa Maria del Pi and Santa Maria del Mar) and civil buildings. The “Passeig de Gràcia” and the “Rambla Catalunya” are the main thoroughfares in the “Eixample”, the district that was planned in the 19th century to enlarge the old city area, containing several works of Antoni Gaudi. Barcelona affords countless possibilities for recreation. Over 40 museums: monographic art collections such as the “Museu Picasso”, the “Fundació Joan Miró” and the “Fundació Antoni Tàpies”.

How to get to Casa de Convalescència UAB - Campus Barcelona (http://www.uab-casaconvalescencia.org/)


From the airport, take the R10 line until the Estació de Sants and then change to L5 metro line until the station of Hospital de Sant Pau and the Casa de Convalescència is at 200 m on the corner of Carrer Sant Quinti and Carrer Sant Antoni M. Claret.
By rental car, leave the airport going straight to the C32 direction to the Barcelona and then follow the signs to the Ronda de Dalt (B20) direction Besos until the output number 4 and then turn right to take the Túnel de la Rovira. After that tunnel turn left to take the Ronda del Guinardo and turn right at Carrer Sant Quintí.

The Barcelona’s central train station is the Estació de Sants. From there and then change to L5 metro line until the station of Hospital de Sant Pau and the Casa de Convalescència is at 200 m on the corner of Carrer St Quinti and Carrer Sant Antoni M. Claret.
