The bus goes directly to Darmstadt. The bus starts outside the terminals. Tickets are sold by the driver and cost EUR 6,85 for a single fare. The bus takes about 25 minutes to reach Darmstadt (Hauptbahnhof next to the Maritim Konferenzhotel).
Take the tram line 3 or 5. You get tickets at the vending machines at the station; a ticket costs EUR 1,35. Get off the tram at Willi-Brand-Platz (1). Follow the alley next to the pharmacy and enter the Herrngarten park. Keep straight on until you see the Robert-Piloty Building (S2|02) with its outside staircase right in the park (2).
To take a taxi from the airport costs about EUR 45.
